And when the
snakes came
to slither
away with
Love and
Harmony
the sunflowers
wept black tears
into needy soil
small dogs chased their
tales
Carelessness and Pity
lighted on the fence
to chatter aimlessly
Patience stuck it's
head in
the sand
birds threw their
eggs from the nest
angry cats fought openly
in the streets
Reason..seeing no
point in any of it
swallowed rat poison
Melody swam to the bottom
of the lake
so beware my friends
beware of snakes
This is an attempt to take the almost ever present "I" out of my poetry.
