The concrete
like your silence
speaks volumes
stories yet untold
as the summer rain
washes away the
muck of this city
into sewer drains
and out to who
knows where
tiny voices
spring memories
days
when love seemed
infinite
and your face
sells golden thread
spun from your hair
for me to knit
into my heart
pools of streetlight
swim in my eyes
as fleeting thoughts
fly heavenward
